Badge Nation Digital Badge Writer

Earners of this badge have attended a digital badge writing workshop run by Badge Nation. They learned what all of the required elements are to be able to write meta-data for the Open Badge Standard that is compatible for use on Navigatr.app and will feature in a Badge Nation digital badge collection.

Criteria

Earner has attended a 1.5 hour digital badge writing workshop online to understand how to write Badge Nation digital badges.

Earner has been shown how to use the Badge Nation Digital Badge Template Submission Form and has had the opportunity to submit their first draft badge.

Earner has understood the 4 layers of the Cities of Learning Badge Standard and has chosen whether to write their badge at Engage, Participate, Demonstrate or Lead layer.

Earner has learned how to use the badge title and description fields to write a broad headline of the activity they are badging giving context for the activity and issuing organisation.

Earner has learnt how to use the criteria fields to give detail of the specific activity the issuer wants to recognise in their badge.

Earner has understood the value of skills tags, and how to select and generate appropriate skills tags for their badge.

This badge is open to all.
