Introduction to Renewable Technology

Earners of this badge have attended a short course as an introduction to some of the underpinning theoretical theories of renewable technologies and the different types. Applicants to this course have either a Level 2 qualification in plumbing or electrical installation, are working towards a Level 3, have 5 year relevant experience, or are a yr 3 or 4 plumbing or electrical installation apprentice.

Earner has learnt about Solar PV battery storage and wind energy production for the purposes of electrical installations.

Earner has learnt about air source heat pump and ground source heat pump technology for the purposes of plumbing installations.

Earner has had the opportunity to get 'hands on' experience of the installation of renewable technologies.
