Badge Nation – Visuals Wizard

Earners of this badge have successfully utilised Adobe Photoshop to create consistently high-quality customised visual templates for new digital badges.

Criteria

This badge is only available to Students, Members or Employees.

Earner has utilised basic templates on Adobe Photoshop to create customised digital badge visuals that represent the visual identities of both a Badge Nation member organisation and the RSA Badge Standard.

Earner has used an organisation’s logo to create a complete set of four visual templates for each layer of the RSA Badge Standard; Engage, Participate, Demonstrate and Lead. Earner has shown they are able to work within set conventions while adapting a template to an organisation’s brand.

Earner has demonstrated awareness of brand identities and appropriate use of an organisation’s logo and colour scheme. Earner understands what can and can’t be amended when working with a brand, and when it is appropriate to request additional assets in order to complete their work to a high standard.

Earner has demonstrated their understanding of dual-branding and how they can feature the visual identity of multiple organisations on one badge visual.

Earner has demonstrated the application of basic tools available within Adobe Photoshop, including, but not limited to, Move, Magic Wand, Eyedropper, Gradient, Paint Bucket, and Type.

Earner has demonstrated an understanding of Layers within Photoshop and how to work on, and manipulate, distinct elements of a template.

Earner has saved PSD files of their work to be used as templates for future badge visuals.

Earner has successfully exported their completed visuals in PNG format, ready for uploading to an issuing platform as part of the digital badge publishing process.
