Childcare Employment Academy

Earners of this badge have completed the foundation learning to commence a career in childcare sector. The Academy course includes; Four day workshop where learners will develop their understanding of the underpinning principles, values and requirements to work in the childcare industry. The workshop modules include: Safeguarding, Milestones in 0-5 years, Developmental Objectives, Risk Assessments, Communication in a childcare setting and preparation for interview with sector employers.

Earner has developed their awareness of key foundations to work within the Childcare sector, courses have been completed using hybrid delivery model. Earner has successfully developed their learning in the required standards of behaviour and conduct in the Childcare sector. Course content includes: Safeguarding, Milestones in 0-5 years, Developmental Objectives, Risk Assessments, Communication in a childcare setting and preparation for a interview.

Earner have successful completed and participated in awareness training on the foundations to work within the Childcare sector, all workshops have been completed using hybrid delivery model.

Earners have successfully completed CV building Workshops which have been tailored to the Childcare Sector, in addition earners have successfully completed Employability and Interview technique enhancing their employment opportunities.

The earner has completed a range of team work activities enhancing their communication and problem solving abilities.

As part of developing employability skills the earner has identified a range of transferable skills applicable to themselves and related these to skills sought within the Childcare sector.

The earner has demonstrated time-keeping, tenacity and timekeeping skills throughout their participation on the academy
