Earners of this badge have completed the necessary courses to commence a career in the Health & Social Care sector. Content includes; a 4 day workshop in which they have been instructed on the underpinning principles, values and requirements to work in the social care industry, to include: Safeguarding, Infection and prevention control, NISCC Code of conduct and behaviour, delivering care in a person-centred way, communication in a care setting and preparing for a work based interview.

Earner has been given awareness training on the basic requirements to work within the Health & Social Care sector. Earner has completed a workshop covering learning in the required standards for behaviour and conduct in the social care industry including: Safeguarding, Infection and prevention control, NISCC Code of conduct and behaviour, delivering care in a person-centred way, communication in a care setting and preparing for a work based interview.

Earner has successfully completed awareness courses in the following: Safeguarding, Infection and prevention control, NISCC Code of conduct and behaviour, delivering care in a person-centred way, communication in a care setting, these course are aligned to commencing a career within the Health & Social Care sector.

Earners have successfully completed CV building Workshops which have been tailored to the Health & Social Care Sector, in Addition earners have successfully completed Employability and Interview technique enhancing their employment opportunities.

The earner has completed a range of team work activities which has developed their communication and problem solving abilities. Earner has worked within a team to solve a pre-defined problem.

The earner has completed an introduction to identifying transferable skills as they relates to employability within the care sector.

Earner has demonstrated time-keeping, tenacity and timekeeping skills throughout the academy
