Earners of this badge have completed specific qualifications relating to the Leisure Industry allowing them to gain a position as a Recreational Assistant. Training includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, World Host Customer Services and Employability Sessions.

Earner has successfully achieved Leisure Recreational Assistant training in order to work within the Leisure industry. The earner has completed relevant qualifications including National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and World Host Customer Services. The Earner has also completed work experience within the leisure environment as a lifeguard, as well as a range of employability training workshops designed to enhance their skills to assist them move into employment within the Leisure industry.

Earner has undertaken relevant industry related qualifications. The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course is delivered over a 7 day period which includes a practical assessment on swimming pool theory, water safety and how to spot potential hazards. The course has taught earners the practical skills of lifeguarding, such as water rescue, casualty recovery, CPR and first aid.

Earners have undertaken relevant work experience in Leisure Centres so they can adapt and understand the role of a recreational assistant and get an understanding of what the role will entail. This has given the earner an opportunity to sample what a career would be like and has helped them make positive decisions for their future.
