Earners of this badge have actively taken part in content development and delivery in Alter Results workshops.

Criteria

Earner has mentored and supported Alter Results ambassadors to go beyond the first stages of cultural competence development. This training acts as an investment into the earner’s team while also maximising the impact of the workshop activities.

Earner has demonstrated organisational skills by participating in the content development of Alter Results workshops. Earner has applied their knowledge of the workshop topics, whilst understanding how to deliver the workshop in an accessible and engaging way. The workshop content covered areas such as: Culture, Identity, Cross-cultural Competence, Intercultural Competence, ICC and Communication, Decolonisation Critical Discussion.

Earner has demonstrated excellent communication skills by actively engaging with workshop participants and supporting them with their learning. Earner has taught the workshop content through presentations and facilitating workshop activities. Earner also provided participants with additional learning resources such as workshop handouts, slides with notes, workbooks, and questionnaires.

Earner has ensured a positive learning environment by creating a safe space, where workshop participants are asked to respect each other and keep an open mind this is essential when having discussions on cultural competence.

Earner has demonstrated reflective skills by working in collaboration with their team to create and improve workshop content and delivery in the future.

Earner has shown a commitment to supporting others learning by going out of their comfort zone and taking on a role that is beyond their usual responsibilities.
