Earners of this badge have attended Creative Fitzwilliam Museum studio workshops and gallery events; they have showcased their inspiration from gallery art and objects research and made their own creative artwork.

Criteria

Earner has engaged as a creative participant in an artist led workshop. These workshop are linked to practical arts skills towards learners GCSE and A-Level exams and BTEC course work. The workshops could be figure drawing, printing, painting or sculpture. There are elements of primary research in the museum to be recorded in sketchbooks.

Earner has researched art and objects in The Fitzwilliam Museum; their research from gallery artefacts and artworks acted as inspirational starting points for their own artwork. The research gathered is recorded in their sketchbooks as notes and drawings, and also in discussion with artists, museum professionals and their peer learners. This research contributes towards their GCSE and A-Level exams and BTEC course work.

Earner has demonstrated creative originality through exploring different art mediums and techniques; earner has shown critical thinking, curiosity and observational skills.

Earner has talked about their work to Museum staff and artists; demonstrating their communication, reflective thinking, enthusiasm and their willingness to learn.

Earner has critically reflected and reviewed their artwork as part of a peer group discussion demonstrating analytical skills and critical thinking.
