They have explored the viability of entrepreneurship as a career, building the key skills required of them; Earners have looked at the marketing aspect of business, creating a business canvas whilst looking at MINDSET: Get your mindset right first, MATTERS, METHOD, MARKET, MAKE and MEASURE.

Earner has heard from local entrepreneurs within Belfast to give them experience on Market Research & Validation. Earner has showed their listening skills and asked insightful questions to uncover business insights and inform strategy to equip them with the knowledge to apply to their own market research.

Earner has participated in a workshop taken by expert led companies to share what is involved in creating a Business Canvas for starting your own business. This involved, looking at what gaps are in the market and what purpose do they want to fill within society through their business.

Earner has heard from professionals and considered the 6Ms of a business structure and thought about how they would implement this into their business. The 6Ms stand for - MINDSET: Get your mindset right first, MATTERS: What matters not only to your customers but also to you, METHOD: The "how" you do the "what”, MARKET: Who is your market, for your product or service, MAKE: What do you have to do to make your business succeed, MEASURE: How will you measure your achievements and how you can improve.

Earner has started to create their own Business Canvas for starting their own business, following the guidance provided by expert businesses, focusing on key activities, key resources, customer relationships and channels they will use.

Earner has participated in a 'Netwalking' event, in which they will take their business canvas on the street with them, to gain market research from with locals. This will include local shoppers and business entrepreneurs who have businesses in the city; earner has developed their communication and confidence through this. Earner has noted any advice and market research they have gained, in which they will evaluate and take on board when taking the next steps of their business canvas.

Earner has worked alongside banks and financial advice companies to learn about the financial aspects when starting your own business, these companies has helped earner to complete the value propositions, look at costs of their business and looked different revenue streams available to them; earner has completed these sections within their business canvas.

Earner has taken time to assess the information gained from their market research which has built on their resilience. The earner has adjusted their business canvas to suit the needs of their customers, leaving their business canvas complete to be accessed by professionals, who will give them further advice before taking the next step in starting their business.
