It includes approaches to supporting positive outcomes including disability and specific requirements as well as understanding the knowledge and principles underpinning playwork practice.

Earner has displayed their playwork, literacy & teamwork skills when demonstrating their understanding of the role of play and the roles of the playwork team. Earner has done this by working in a group to discuss the roles and responsibilities of the playwork team. They then submitted a written report to analyse how play is necessary for children & young people’s development and well-being; they also explained the biological, psychological, and sociological necessity for all children to play.

Earner has used their presentation, communication and advocacy skills when evaluating the importance of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, in relation to play provision. Earner has delivered a presentation explaining how playwork organisations seek to meet the rights of children and young people for play and the importance of advocacy.

Earner has demonstrated their social, disability awareness and inclusion skills when completing a case study that aimed to design a new service that meets the requirements of a group of children and young people with additional needs. The service focused on ensuring social inclusion, and understanding how practitioners can make a positive difference in outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and special requirements.
