Earner has developed knowledge by receiving classroom-based instruction and demonstrating comprehension and competence through their responses to given scenarios.

Earner has learned about fire prevention and how to minimise the risk of fire onboard ships. This increases safety of passengers and cew by reducing the liklihood of fires taking place.

Earner has increased their understanding of the importance of maintaining a state of readiness to respond to emergency situations involving fire. This increases safety of passengers and crew, since the threat of fire on board is persistent.

Earner has learned techniques to fight and extinguish fires. They have demonstrated these skills, under exam conditions, within "real-to-life" situations in multi-level fire rooms, using maritime standard fire fighting eqipment.
