The recipient of this badge will have participated in activities such as job shadowing, work experience or a community project and shown a commitment to developing their work related skills and understanding the dynamics within a workplace. This badge supports the recipient in their career progression by providing evidence of their dedication and understanding of the world of work.

The recipient has demonstrated an understanding of work skills necessary for their chosen career path showcased through participation in an employer placement or community project. They should also display their ability to apply these skills practically in a workplace.
The recipient has participated an employer placement for up to and including 5 days within their industry of interest and explored different roles, understanding the skills and qualifications required for these roles. They have also shown interest in learning about career progression and the opportunities available within their chosen field.
The recipient has gained practical experience in a workplace and can identify what skills they have applied and what can be improved through feedback. This experience should demonstrate their ability to apply learnt skills in a real-world context and understand whether the role may be one they wish to progress into.
