The Employer Engagement Mastery Badge is a recognition awarded to individuals who have demonstrated significant understanding and engagement with employers. This engagement includes gaining knowledge about work skills, understanding various career pathways, and gaining practical experience in a workplace lasting for in excess of 10 days. The recipient of this badge will have participated in activities such as job shadowing, work experience, and informational interviews to demonstrate their skills, and shown a commitment to developing their professional skills and understanding the dynamics of different industries and the roles within them. This badge supports the recipient in their career progression by providing evidence of their dedication and understanding of the world of work including being able to identify skill strengths and weakness through self reflection or mentor.

Criteria

The recipient has demonstrated a deep understanding of work skills necessary for their chosen career path. This should be showcased through participation in skills-based work experience in their chosen industry. They should also display their ability to apply these skills practically in a workplace.

The recipient has shown an engagement with a chosen career pathway and have explored different roles within their industry of interest, understanding the skills and qualifications required for these roles by communicating with colleagues they are working with. They have also shown interest in learning about career progression and the opportunities available within their chosen field.

The recipient has gained practical experience in a workplace. This could be through job shadowing, or work experience in excess of 10 days. This experience should demonstrate their ability to apply learnt skills in a real-world context and their understanding of the workplace environment. They will also demonstrate the ability to self reflect by gaining feedback from the employer, identifying what skills they used and what they could improve on and identify actions to support future development
