Earner has demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn by volunteering their time to attend a visit to their local crime centre and gain insight into crime scene investigation.
Earner has gained an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a forensic team. They have learnt about the importance of scene protection to ensure the integrity of an investigation, including recording and preserving evidence, preventing contamination, and the appropriate documentation and packaging of evidence.
Earner has learnt about Health and Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on a crime scene. They have experienced how investigators appropriately collect evidence while keeping themselves safe.
Earner has observed how entomology is used in an investigation and how this can establish time of death.
