They have learnt about the importance of scene protection to ensure the integrity of an investigation, including recording and preserving evidence, preventing contamination, and the appropriate documentation and packaging of evidence.
Earner has learnt about Health and Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on a crime scene. They have experienced how investigators appropriately collect evidence while keeping themselves safe.
Earner has observed how entomology is used in an investigation and how this can establish time of death.
