Criteria

Earner has gained developed their proficiency in using prediction tools in Excel to enhance the value and insight of reports. Through class-based exercises and group participation, earner has learned about Forecast sheets - for time series data with trends, Forecast functions - for linear trends in historical data, and Exponential Smoothing Functions - for data with trends and/or seasonality.

Earner has enhanced their knowledge of analysis in Excel by learning about the specific techniques that can be used - such as Master Data Cleaning, Data modelling, and Macros. Earner has gained an understanding of how and where they can explore online resources and learning platforms to enhance their knowledge even further - including MS Excel Office Training. Earner has participated in group activities and class exercises to ask questions and share ideas.

Earner has gained an understanding of the If statement and IF AND formulas in Excel. They have learned that the IF function allows them to check a condition and return one value if the condition is true, and another value if it's false. Earner has increased their understanding of applying IF function in a variety of situations such as checking if product is in stock, creating custom messages, and categorising data. Earner has also the IF function alongside other formulas.

Earner has learned about the SUM formula as a fundamental function in Excel used to calculate the sum of a range of cells. They have learned that the SUM function has a number of derivations such as SUMIF - which sums values in a specific range that meet a single condition, SUMIFS - for sums values that have multiple conditions, and SUBTOTAL - which provides partial sums based on hidden rows or columns. Earner has explored ways they can apply these formulas in their everyday lives.

Earner has learned how the COUNT formula in Excel can help them to tally items within a range, including useful derivations such as COUNTA - where all cells containing any value are counted, and COUNTIF - where it counts cells that meet a single condition. Earner has learned how to use this function through class-based exercises, and has created examples of how it could be used for tasks such as Inventory management and Surveys and questionnaires.

Earner has explored the TRIM, POPER, and WORKDAY formulas to display clear and high-quality data. They have learned that TRIM removes leading, trailing, and multiple spaces from text strings, PROPER - capitalises the first letter of each word in a text string and converts the rest to lowercase, and WORKDAY that calculates a future or past date by considering weekends and holidays. Earner has learned the ways in which this can be used in their everyday life, such as scheduling tasks or deadlines.
