Earner has demonstrated that they are an organised, creative, and compassionate individual, showing complete dedication in their role. They have been adaptable in many exciting projects during their role, including Turner Prize workshop day, working with schools across East Sussex, event planning, and creating a creative work experience week.
Earner has demonstrated skills in event planning. They have shown a keen eye for logistics by organising a variety of events such as Work Training events, film screenings and Work Experience week, ensuring all events ran smoothly and were conducted in a well-organised fashion.
Earner has demonstrated skills in leadership and has taken ownership of their projects. They have shown excellent communication skills by being the first point of contact for several individual work experience placements at DLWP and taking responsibility for showing young people around the building, explaining health and safety requirements, outlining tasks, and checking in on progress.
Earner has devised a weeklong placement for SEN students to help Talent Accelerator ensure that it meets the needs of a wide variety of young people interested in creative industries. They have successfully run all activities and has been the support for a work experience placement off site in Newhaven run a partner organisation.
Earner has shown they can remain calm under pressure while giving support to artist workshops, as part of the Learning and Participation team at DLWP and Towner’s Wriggle Room. They have been a calm and supportive presence and have adjusted to the accessibility needs of a variety of participants.
Earner has had to work in quickly changing circumstances and has always remained focused. Being able to work in this way both inside and outside of the building is an asset to DLWP ensuring smooth partnerships with artists and communities.
Earner has inspired and influenced others by providing feedback on placements and activities, informing practice, and leading improved ways of working.
