Criteria

Earner has been responsible for providing excellent customer service and a friendly face when greeting students and parents throughout the course and before informal concerts.
Earner has taken a proactive approach to creating a positive and relaxed out-of-school learning environment for children and young people. During course break times, earner aided in the development of friendship groups between children, instigating games and activities during break times by encouraging positive play behaviour, and offered support to anyone who is alone or struggling to integrate into a group.
Earner has adopted a flexible approach to managing their time and responsibilities around a fluid day-to-day schedule. They arrived at the venue at the start of the day on time and adhered to the schedule of the day. Earner has taken initiative to communicate with course leaders to find out when break times were to ensure that they were always be on hand to begin supervision immediately.
Earner has been responsible for the supervision and safety of all students involved in the courses. They have shown an adaptable approach to supervision by carrying out dynamic risk assessments during break times. This involved ensuring children remain with the boundaries of play, only eat in the designated areas, and participate in appropriate and safe activities.
Earner has displayed professionalism and friendliness when greeting parents/carers and children. They have introduced themselves and directed people to the correct areas at the start of the day, and provided a staff presence to assist anyone who needed it by assisting with efficient collection of children after the performance. Earner has displayed excellent communication skills at varying levels of understanding to communicate effectively with both parents/carers and children to achieve this.
Earner has displayed the ability to support colleagues in a variety of ways by having good working knowledge of the schedule for the day as well as an awareness of individual children’s special needs, requirements, or medical information. They have shown initiative by assisting course leaders during sessions, taking an active role in participating in sessions when needed, and providing one to one support for children that require it to ensure sessions run smoothly.
Earner has shown leadership skills through having a work experience student shadow them throughout the day. They have trained others during the day by providing guidance, allowing work experience students the opportunity to learn the job role in a supportive environment.
