Criteria

Earner has actively engaged in a video and increased their knowledge about why the government needs to collect money. They have developed their teamwork and communication skills when discussing why tax is paid by individuals and businesses.

Earner has described how tax pays for things that are needed and used. They can list a number of services that are paid for by taxpayers.

Earner has explored and is able to describe the term Value Added Tax (VAT). They have demonstrated this learnt knowledge by successfully completing a quiz, identifying items with or without VAT.

Earner has identified what HMRC does and the role it plays. They have developed their problem-solving skills when working together to prioritise which key areas should receive the most amount of money from tax. They have listened to their peers, constructively critiquing their response, and working co-operatively to make an informed decision.
