Pre 16 Work Placement

The earner has demonstrated in a Work Experience Programme coordinated by Xperience as part of their school’s Work Experience Programme. The earner has gained an insight into the world of work and explored career options and different job roles. They have developed an understanding of tasks and responsibilities in the workplace and had the opportunity to develop their employability and essential skills. The earner participated in a workplace induction and also participated in a school work experience preparation session

Criteria

Key Stage 4 Students

The Earner participated positively in a work experience preparation session in school
The Earner researched the company, arranged travel to their placement and has participated in a pre-placement discussion with their supervisor.
The Earner participated in an induction and agreed to the employer’s policies, including an understanding of health & safety in the workplace and is aware of their own responsibilities.
The Earner observed good working practices and completed a range of day to day tasks as part of each working day. They have developed employability and essential skills and will consider their next steps in transferring skills to support their personal career goals and educational pathway.
The Earner attended the work placement each day and maintained good punctuality and has understood workplace expectations and values
The Earner has received and understood the feedback provided to them about their work placement including highlights and areas for personal development
The Earner has taken the opportunity to find out about careers and apprenticeships either related to their work placement or other sectors.
The Earner has completed their work placement journal and had this signed by the employer. They have reflected on their experience in the workplace and discussed their learning with teacher, careers advisor or parent/carer.
The Earner sent a letter or email to the employer thanking them for the opportunity of a work placement within their organisation.
