Earners of this badge have participated in a filmmakers Master Class where they learnt some of the more advanced functions in making films, often the finer detail. Earners were introduced to technical equipment which is used as part of the process in filmmaking. They learnt about other key roles in filmmaking such as producing and directing but more focus on the role of camera person and skills they need. This forms part of Creative industry pathway for film.

Earner has accessed a filmmaking workshop provided by a professional independent filmmaker named the Modaressi Family, who based in the Bradford district . Earners actively listened during demonstrations of some very high tech equipment used as part of the process to make a film. Earners also were able to think critically and ask questions regarding the some of the technical functions.
Earner has learnt about the use of lenses and angles for shooting films, they were introduced to more advanced functions in editing but also adding affects and sub titles to film. The earners learnt how certain techniques in filming can produce different types of film. They learnt about the top tips when creating an emotive film, and apply very different techniques when filming a documentary for example.
Earner has in smaller groups earners were able to apply some of their new editing skills to their own short creations , or at least consider how it might improve their final product. This forms a pathway within the creative industry relating to Film, TV, video.
