Earners of this badge have attended a DJ workshop, where they learnt skills such as downloading and organising musical genres, using their digital skills. Earners accessed professional equipment and learnt how to use popular commercial software (FX)for enhancing sound quality, and learnt many new skills including the use of technical skills associated with using the decks. This activity is related to the Radio Broadcasting Pathway and is suitable for KS2 and adaptable for KS3 & KS4.

Earner has practised their digital and technical skills whilst creating and organising their playlist. Earners applied critical thinking deciding on the genre of music they played.
Earner has learnt how to navigate the turntables and learnt new skills by communicating and collaborating with peers, testing their newly gained skills using beat match with jog wheel, incorporating new and old methods.
Earner has learnt how to use the mixing equipment and blend tracks creatively, and through active listening learnt how to edit and enhance using commercially available software such as FXsound.
Earner has on completion of the workshop the earners shared their recorded musical production , and were able to use oracy skills to present to their peers.
