Organisations have submitted relevant documentary evidence demonstrating they provide fair wages for employees in line with the Real Living Wage and offer fair contracts for employees who possess security regarding the hours they work. Organisations have undergone extensive scrutiny by a panel of experts within Belfast City Council’s Belfast Business Promise team.

Criteria

This badge is only available to Students, Members or Employees.

Organisation has demonstrated its commitment to ethical and non-exploitative hiring practices by either not using zero-hour contracts or by using zero-hour contracts appropriately (i.e., with the agreement, and to the benefit of employees).
Organisation has demonstrated its commitment to fair wages by creating an action plan purposed to pay regularly contracted staff the Real Living Wage which will be reflected in future human resource policies and organisation-wide decision-making.
Organisation has demonstrated excellent knowledge of ethical recruitment by creating an action plan to monitor and reduce pay gaps on grounds of sex, age, and ethnicity.
