Introduction Film-making Workshop KS3, KS4/5

Earners of this badge have little or no knowledge of film-making, and were presented with films created by other students, that were funny, informative and educational, which used various techniques to produce the film. Earners were introduced to equipment and software watched demonstrations on how to use equipment including smart phones.

Earner has watched a variety of some short films produced by past students, showcasing different styles, use of different camera angles, background scenery. Earners listened carefully to how each style of film was produced and what equipment was used.

Earner has been able to interact with the hardware, some which was familiar and others not. They were introduced to software for more complex films and with some they created , they then learnt how to edit the audio and film.

Earner has the opportunity to try the hardware, practice their editing for both sound and film. They also learned how to add additional sound. Whilst participating in the activities the earner gained some technical skills, and how to work together, make decisions , solve problems, listen carefully. Earners expressed their creativity in their ideas for films and were inspired by the work of past students.
