Cultural Support Volunteer

This badge is awarded to individuals who have volunteered with Left Bank on adhoc tasks, from organising to community event support. The badge holder has volunteered with us for five or more sessions and has been vital to the efficient running of our space. They may of learn how to prepare the environment for community events, created functional workspaces for the public, ensured materials and equipment are ready for community use. Or even helped out on specialist activities, eg helping an artist create a community installation. They have provided vital support during the day to day running of Left Bank, assisting Left Bank Staff to ensure positive and well curated cultural activities. The badge holder has also demonstrated reliability and initiative in their volunteering.

Criteria

The badge applicant should have volunteered at a minimum of five session. They should have demonstrated proficiency in any adhoc task they may of been set, managing popup areas in a community event, and preparing community materials for everyday use, or adhoc tidying and organising. They have provided reliable support to the staff, ensuring a lighter work load for our small team.

The badge applicant should have received positive feedback from our Volunteer Manager and other staff members. The feedback should reflect the applicant's proactive involvement, assistance abilities, and their competence in completing a task well. The feedback could be in the form of written testimonials, ratings, or informal comments.

The badge applicant should have completed a basic training course on volunteering. The training should cover areas like healthy and safely, fire procedures, guidance on proper Cafe & event set up, and equipment handling. The completion of this course indicates that the badge applicant is knowledgeable about the tasks and responsibilities of a Cultural Support Volunteer.
