Compassion - Deepen - T-level

The earner of the badge has deepened their knowledge and understanding of behaviours enabling the individual to better understand the importance of compassion when delivering person-centred care. They have attended three employer led sessions which have focused on the use of technology and importance of compassion in day to day activities of job roles within the health and care sector.

Criteria

Candidates that have participated in Health T-level

It has been achieved through attending the Health T-level and gaining knowledge on the importance of compassion with the health and care sector, noted below. Learners have also attended three employer led sessions which have focused on use of technology and importance of compassion in roles within the sector

Knowledge and understanding that compassion is one for the key values of the healthcare sector when providing care and support

The role of compassion in person centred care as part of the broader 6 c’s which include: care, communication, courage, commitment and competence.

A key aspect of providing person centred care is to demonstrate compassion through language used and acknowledgment of patient’s condition asking questions about how they feel.

An understanding of the roles of organisations, such as the Care Quality Commission to ensure health and care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.
