Compassion - Apply - T-level

The earner of this badge has applied and demonstrated compassion and person-centred care skills, behaviours and knowledge to patients. This application of knowledge, skills and behaviours has been evidenced in practice with the learner being able to evidence practical examples of how they have used or understood the criteria noted in this badge.

Criteria

Candidates that have participated in Health T-level

Badge has been awarded based on attendance of a two year Health T-level course which includes a 315-hour industry placement. Within the placement there was an employer set project which required the individual to apply and contextualise core knowledge through demonstration of core skills.

Can discuss how they have seen in practice compassion and can talk about this being one of the key values of the healthcare sector when providing care and support

Can talk about how they have experienced the role of compassion in person centred care as part of the broader 6 c’s which include: care, communication, courage, commitment and competence.

Can discuss how they have applied their knowledge and understanding to provide person centred care and can demonstrate compassion through language used and acknowledgment of patient’s condition asking questions about how they feel.

Can provide examples of how the roles of organisations, such as the Care Quality Commission to ensure health and care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.
