Foundation PSP English - Perpetua

Foundation PSP English - Perpetua accreditation recognises students who demonstrated developed thinking and and analysis in their responses to texts, engaging with literary works in a thoughtful and imaginative way. Their writing, whether creative or analytical, is developed and assured, using increasingly sophisticated vocabulary and syntax. They assuredly match their communication to the purpose and audience, and structure their writing increasingly inventively. In class discussion, their responses showed insight, maturity, and originality. They contributed meaningfully to the academic culture, showing early signs of developing a critical voice.

Produced writing that was developed and well-crafted, using sophisticated vocabulary and syntax to convey ideas and information in an increasingly imaginative way.
Took a leading role in group work or class discussions
Made increasingly detailed links between texts, ideas and contexts.
Analysed writers' methods and their effects using well-chosen subject terminology and evidence to support their analysis.
Produced writing which assuredly met the purpose and requirements of audience and form.
Contributed in class discussions with thoughtful and developed ideas
Engaged in presentations or performance tasks to a high level and with confidence
Read widely outside of English lessons, bringing their experiences into lessons, and engaged with co-curricular and super-curricular opportunities
