Pathways PSP English - Perpetua

The Pathways PSP English - Perpetua accreditation recognises students who have demonstrated independence, intellectual curiosity, and originality in interpretation. These students consistently produced work which was critical and exploratory in scope, detailed and rigorous in its analysis, and with a real sense of independent inquiry and insight. They produced creative and analytical writing which is convincing and compelling, with with a range of extensive and ambitious vocabulary and syntax to convey ideas and information. Their contributions in class were notably imaginative, thoughtful and perceptive, whether in group work, individual presentations or in class discussion.

Made specific, detailed links between texts, ideas and contexts, exploring their impact on readers' responses
Produced written analytical and creative pieces which are convincing and compelling, using an extensive and ambitious range of vocabulary, syntax and structural features to meet the needs of the audience and expectations of purpose/genre
Engaged in detail with a range of texts from different contexts and a diverse range of writers, reading beyond the curriculum and enriching their understanding with broader ideas
All written work was produced to a very high standard, with assured, confident and nuanced writing.
