Advanced PSP English - Perpetua
Perpetua recognises students who have demonstrated academic rigour, independence, intellectual curiosity and a real sense of individual scholarly inquiry. Their written work is characterised by excellent, detailed understanding of texts, shaped by consistently developed and detailed arguments, and well-developed discussions of writers' methods. Their readings of texts are informed by detailed exploration of contexts of production and reception, as well as evaluating different interpretations. Their NEA work reflects curiosity and originality, and they contribute thoughtfully to seminar debate. They completed an impressive range of wider reading, bringing it to bear usefully in class discussions and their own interpretations of texts, using it to develop their own personal critical perspectives on the set texts.
