Students accredited in Pathways PSP Biology have built strong foundations in key biological principles, working scientifically, using their practical and maths skills. Through topics such as,

● Topic 4 – Natural selection and genetic modification

● Topic 5 – Health, disease and the development of medicines

● Topic 6 – Plant structures and their functions

they develop fluency in using biological terminology and models. Students conduct core practicals, analyse data, and begin to evaluate scientific method and evidence. Secure Understanding of Biological Systems - Demonstrates consistent understanding across key GCSE Biology topics and processes. Applies knowledge accurately in familiar and new contexts, including using diagrams and models.

Effective Practical Work and Evaluation - Completes core practicals safely and accurately. Begins to evaluate procedures for reliability and identify ways to improve experimental design.

Structured Scientific Writing and Data Use - Writes clear, coherent answers to structured and extended questions, using correct terminology and interpreting data with confidence.
