Foundation PSP Art - Perpetua
Students awarded Perpetua accreditation in Foundation PSP Fine Art demonstrate creative ambition, technical precision, and growing independence. They go beyond the core expectations of the projects, using their sketchbooks as genuine thinking spaces — experimenting confidently with media, adapting ideas thoughtfully, and responding to the work of artists with insight and imagination.
These students handle materials with skill and intention — whether blending colour in acrylic, cutting lino blocks, or constructing complex tonal drawings. They are curious about the creative process, asking questions of their own work, testing alternatives, and refining outcomes through iterative development. Their research into artists and movements is purposeful, often extending beyond the classroom content, and they show maturity in making connections between their own ideas and the wider visual world.
By the end of the Foundation stage, Perpetua students display fluency across disciplines, a developing personal voice, and the motivation to drive their work forward — preparing them for ambitious, self-directed exploration at Pathways PSP.
