Advanced PSP Art
Students accredited in Advanced PSP Fine Art demonstrate sustained engagement with the A Level programme, including the development of a Personal Investigation and a supporting written study of 3000 words. Their work shows confidence in planning, refining, and resolving ambitious outcomes through practical and conceptual exploration. They work independently across a range of materials — including oil paint, printmaking, sculpture, digital media, and photography — and use their sketchbooks to document process, visual research, and critical reflection.
These students apply contextual understanding to inform creative choices, referencing artists, designers, movements, and cultural influences relevant to their personal themes. They make evaluative decisions throughout their projects, refine visual outcomes thoughtfully, and show growing confidence in articulating their artistic intent in both writing and discussion.
