This badge represents successful completion of the Health and Care Pathway. By achieving this, the individual has gained valuable insights into a variety of roles and career opportunities within the Health & Care sector through participation in careers events, industry visits and employer open days. They have been introduced to essential knowledge, skills and behaviours expected in the sector and have developed an understanding of compassion in practice and how to deliver person-centred care through reflective activities and scenario-based learning. They have deepened their coordination skills through teamwork and advanced tasks and have successfully applied coordination principles in practical settings, demonstrating strong organisation, effective communication and collaborative working. Importantly, they have completed a 150-hour industry placement with a Health & Care provider, gaining real-world experience to contextualise and consolidate their learning. This pathway badge recognises the learner’s commitment and achievement in building a solid foundation to progress into further education or employment within the Health & Care sector.

Criteria

Attend careers events, industry visits, and employer open days to gain insights into roles and opportunities in the Health & Care sector.

Complete a 150-hour industry placement with a Health & Care provider to gain real-world experience and contextualise learning.

Completed an observational work experience placement of at least one week, exploring various careers and observing multi-disciplinary teams within the Health & Care sector.

The earner of this badge has completed employability training by participating in a mock interview with a Health & Care sector employer. They have effectively communicated their strengths and demonstrated how their skills align with industry expectations.
