Real Work Experience

This badge recognised successful completion of a 6 to 12 week work placement and the application of learning in a real world setting. It acknowledged positive employer feedback and demonstrated teamwork, reliability and initiative, together with a reflective account of workplace experience and learning outcomes.

Criteria

Complete a structured 6 to 12 week placement with a local employer, meeting scheduled hours and agreed responsibilities while engaging in day to day workplace activities and tasks.

Receive documented positive feedback from the employer covering performance, teamwork, reliability and initiative, with a formal endorsement or evaluation submitted to the badge issuer.

Submit a reflective report or portfolio that demonstrated applied skills, lessons learned and personal development linked to workplace examples, including evidence of collaboration, problem solving and professional conduct.
