Recipients had demonstrated competence in powering and navigating devices, connecting peripherals and networks, adjusting accessibility settings, managing files and saving work, and applying basic security and update routines. It signalled confidence to operate a device selected to meet individual needs.

Demonstrated the ability to power on and off a device, navigate using a mouse, keyboard and touchscreen, and use basic accessibility features such as magnification and simple voice commands to tailor the interface to personal needs.
Connected the device to Wi-Fi and paired Bluetooth devices including headphones, and verified audio output; adjusted display settings such as text size, colour contrast and screen reader options to improve readability and usability.
Saved and organised files into folders, applied basic file management routines, and performed system updates and security checks to keep the device and data protected and current.
