Earner has demonstrated confidence whilst working at height in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). They have shown a correct ‘leg lock’ at ground level, then proceeded to ascend a fully extended 13.5 metre ladder to approximately second storey height to demonstrate a further leg lock, leaning back with arms outstretched to describe a symbol shown on the floor.
Earner has demonstrated a casualty evacuation in full PPE. They have shown lower and upper body strength by dragging a 55kg casualty around a 30-metre course, walking backwards guided by an assessor.
Earner has demonstrated upper and lower body strength by raising a 5kg bar 75 cm off the ground to a height of 182 cm, then back down to the 75 cm support, to a maximum load of 15kg.
Earner has performed a task in an enclosed space in full PPE. They have worn a breathing apparatus facemask to negotiate a measured crawlway within a set time, completing one half of the route with clear vision and the other half with obscured vision.
Earner has demonstrated manual dexterity by assembling and dissembling an item of equipment following colour coded diagrams.
Earner has demonstrated aerobic fitness, muscular strength and stamina. They have shown the ability to; drag a hose reel from an appliance for 25m then jog back 25m, pick up and carry 2 coiled 70mm hoses for 100m, carry 1 coiled 70mm hose at chest height for 25m then jog back 75m, pick up and carry a 2.4m suction hose and basket strainer for 100m then jog back 100m, and pick up and carry a simulated 'Light Portable Pump' weighing approximately 30kg for 100m.
