Earner has gained knowledge about the Council's safeguarding, Information security and Data Protection policies including privacy, cyber security, and diversity awareness in order to carry out their role appropriately within these frameworks.

Earner has increased their understanding of the responsibilities of employers and employees as outlined in The Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974. They recognise the importance of safety measures in the workplace to boost employee engagement and overall organisational performance.

Earner has undertaken scenario tasks and discussions around various work-related risks and hazards that can significantly impact the well-being of an individual. They are aware of how these risks can be controlled and what processes are in place to respond effectively to unsafe acts, report incidents appropriately, and identify potential solutions by seeking available help and guidance.

Earner has learned to recognise escalation and risk during conflict and list basic methods they can apply in order to avoid or defuse conflict to ensure their working environment stays safe.

Earner has attended an equality and diversity awareness training session discussing and drawing attention to good practice on equality and diversity, and how the council supports staff to address this in their work.
