Responsible AI Researcher

This badge was issued to Aine Shaw on 05 December 2025.

This badge recognised students who attended three workshops as part of their Study Skills programme to develop AI literacy and explore its responsible use in education and future careers. Participants explored the benefits and challenges of AI, including topics such as academic integrity, effective prompting, societal implications of AI, and evaluated a variety of AI tools used for research. Through independent and group research, students investigated a topic of their choice and then presented their findings in a formal presentation to their peers. Feedback was provided by learners based on a set of criteria, including accuracy of content, oracy, presentation style and engagement. The badge highlights key skills in research, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and ethical AI use, which are valuable for academic success and employability. Students are better equipped to use AI effectively, safely and responsibly.
