The Gen AI Accelerator Completer Award recognises professionals and entrepreneurs who have completed training on successful AI adoption. The program focuses on boosting personal and team productivity while fostering innovative new ways of working. As part of the programme, recipients examined how generative AI could be integrated into critical innovation-related workflows, including marketing, product or service development, customer engagement, customer experience, content creation, and business-model renewal. They analyzed the tools and platforms in use, identified what works well, and addressed key limitations, barriers, or tensions surrounding the technology.

Participants also explored the strategic expectations of how generative AI could transform these workflows, identifying concrete pain points and opportunities for improvement. The training combined classroom instruction and peer-led discussions to provide expert guidance on the practical application of new AI solutions across essential business functions. This supportive business focussed programme was delivered in collaboration with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and Kingston Chamber of Commerce, reflecting the University’s commitment to supporting the region’s economic development.

Criteria

Attended core workshop briefings exploring safe, ethical and effective AI adoption to improve organisational workflows in a real world business setting. Using a human centred approach to understand how AI enhances instead of replacing people and workforce.

Participating in peer group learning sessions that cover emerging AI uses in areas such as search, video & social media.

Evidence of attendance and participation had to be provided through participating actively in discussions, event sign-in records and facilitator confirmation.

Completed practical, hands-on tasks from each briefing: devised strategies to apply these to their own work and produced assets or trialled new platforms.

To help Completers turn these foundational skills into deep, institutional expertise, Gen AI Circle badge recipients are highly encouraged to progress onto Kingston University’s MSc AI for Business and Innovation.
