Earner has attended a one day Conference and has taken part in 2 workshops from a total of 6. Workshop topics included: PTSD, Early Interventions, The Client Journey, The Role of The Coroner's Office, Critically Reviewed the Premiere of The Film Crusts and The Role of The Emergency Services. Through listening to, and questioning presenters, earner has reflected upon studies on suicide and later life and have identified potential signs and triggers.
Earner has actively listened to testimony from service users of the Lighthouse charity on the issues of mental health and well being and suicide prevention and have critically scrutinized the customer journey. Earner has explored some of the positive outcomes achieved by service users of all ages and noted potential improvements. Earner has reflected on the experience of others and have identified improvements to be made to their professional practice and the way services are delivered.
Earner has attended a selection of workshops and have examined the issues of early interventions and the links between suicide, domestic and sexual abuse, addiction and LGBTQI+ issues.
Earner has improved their knowledge and understanding of the role of the Emergency services and their involvement in deaths by suicide. Earner has critically examined the investigative role of the Coroners Office in deaths by suicide and will improve their knowledge of the investigative procedure. They have increased their knowledge and understanding by producing learning notes.
Earner has learnt the essentials of PTSD and Trauma, and have questioned Conference presenters, have taken notes to inform their own professional practice and service delivery.
