Criteria

Earner has undertaken a 1-day course to develop their understanding of Health & Safety practices, risk, and control measures within the construction industry.

Earner has actively engaged with training as part of Springboard Opportunities' YouthStart programme. They have been supported by tutors and youth workers, participating in a range of group work and 1-2-1 activities to strengthen their skills in teamwork, confidence, and communication.

Earner has received an introduction to Health & Safety Legislation to prepare them for a career in construction. They have gained awareness of accident prevention and statistics, including accident reporting and emergency procedures.

Earner has explored essential measures in place to support a safe working environment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), manual handling and carrying out a safety lift, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). They have also increased their knowledge safe use of vehicles and handheld tools.

Earner has gained awareness of environments they may encounter in a construction career, including excavations and confined spaces, working at height, and electricity for underground and overhead services.

Earner has successfully completed a knowledge-based test and been issued with a CSR Card, valid for 4 years from the date of completion.
