Girl Tech was established in 2018 to address the lack of female representation in the tech and digital sectors. The event is an action-packed day aimed at girls aged 12-14. Filled with workshops, panels, speakers and networking.

Girl Tech aims to myth-bust the digital sector for young women by introducing them to inspirational role models from tech who can show them all the exciting roles that exist within the sector.

Reaching young people before they choose their GCSE options means they can make informed decisions about which careers they would like to go into and which subjects to take in order to set them on the right path to achieve their goals.

Girl Tech, and the impact it has on young women, would not be possible without the commitment our volunteers make to sharing their insights, skills, and experience. Whether it's as speakers, workshop facilitators, or through getting involved in a range of networking activities with young women - our Girl Tech volunteers are fantastic role models for the sector. This badge recognising the ways in which our Girl Tech volunteers have demonstrated and developed their influence and advocacy within the industry.
