Earners of this badge have completed the foundation learning to commence a career in supporting learners in an education setting. The Academy course content includes; a 4 day workshop in which they have been instructed on the underpinning principles, values and requirements to work in the teaching assistant industry, to include: Safeguarding, development of children, health and safety in an education setting, how children learn and preparing for a work based interview.

Earner has undergone learning in the required standards for behaviour and conduct in the classroom industry including: Safeguarding, development of children, health and safety in an education setting and how children learn.

Earner has completed training in job interview preparation. Earner has developed knowledge of the purpose of an interview and how to answer popular interview questions while maintaining a high standard of communication.

Earner has successfully completed a CV building workshop which has been tailored to the teaching assistant Sector. In addition, earner has successfully completed Employability and Interview techniques to enhance their employment opportunities.

Earner has completed a range of team work activities which has developed their communication and problem solving abilities. Earner has worked within a team to solve a pre-defined problem.

Earner has completed an introduction to identifying transferable skills relating to employability. Earner has identified a range of transferable skills applicable to themselves.

Earner has demonstrated their commitment throughout the academy by maintaining timekeeping and tenacity.
