Earner has demonstrated their evaluation, presentation and communication skills by delivering a presentation that explained the role and value of play. Earner has also evaluated the benefits of 'freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated' organised play provision. They also developed their knowledge by reviewing the contribution of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Earner has shown skills in research, critical thinking and risk assessment by completing a written piece to critically compare playwork theories and models that underpin effective playwork provision. In this report, earner has also compared the strengths and weaknesses of different strategies to risk assessment and risk management in relation to children and young people’s play. Earner has also explained the contribution of other disciplines, such as psychology, biology and sociology.
Earner has demonstrated literacy and play work skills by compiling a report to explain the importance of an organisational framework for supporting play. This report compared different methods a playwork organisation can use to support children and young people’s play as well as analysing the roles of different organisations in the context of integrated services and their impact on play.
