Earner has displayed their knowledge for childcare, and literacy and teamwork skills when demonstrating their understanding of the role of play and the roles of the childcare team. Earner has done this by working in a group to discuss roles and responsibilities of the staff team. They then submitted a written report to analyse how play is necessary for children and their development and wellbeing; they also explained the biological, psychological, and sociological necessity for all children to play. When

Earner has used their communication and advocacy skills when evaluating the importance of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, in relation to childcare provision. Earner has delivered a presentation explaining how childcare organisations seek to meet the rights of children for play and the importance of advocacy, demonstrating their skills in presenting.

Earner has demonstrated their knowledge in social and disability awareness, and inclusion when completing a case study that aimed to design a new service that meets the requirements of a group of children with additional needs. The service focused on ensuring social inclusion, and understanding how practitioners can make a positive difference in outcomes for children with disabilities and special requirements.
