Earner has participated in building a flare by using models or replicas of flares, life rafts, life jackets and emergency kits to allow earners to handle and learn through touch & interaction.
Earner has learnt about the science behind how flares work, including combustion, light, color visibility in an emergency situation.
Earner has followed the demonstration on the use of flare with step by step procedure on what to do in an emergency situation. They have demonstrate active listening, following instructions and understanding health and safety considerations
Earner has participated in a team exercise to simulate rescue operations, signal using flares and solving navigation problems using a map and a compass. Earner has developed leadership, teamwork and effective communication.
