Pathways PSP French
Students accredited in Pathways PSP French demonstrate increasing fluency, accuracy, and independence across the four core skills. They confidently handle familiar and unfamiliar topics — including identity, technology, social issues, environmental concerns, and future plans — using a range of grammatical structures such as the perfect, imperfect, and future tenses, modal verbs, comparatives, and si clauses.
They produce structured written and spoken French using appropriate connectives, intensifiers, and opinions. Students show understanding of authentic written and spoken material, and begin to reflect on meaning beyond the literal. Cultural exploration expands through study of Francophone media, festivals, and current affairs. By the end of Year 11, students can express themselves with clarity and nuance, preparing them for the discursive, literary, and analytical demands of Advanced PSP.
