Pathways PSP French - Perpetua
Perpetua students demonstrate strong control over grammar, a willingness to experiment with language, and confidence across all skills. They routinely use three tenses and complex syntax such as relative clauses, pronouns and si clauses in extended written and spoken responses. They communicate clearly and thoughtfully, showing flexibility in word choice and ability to manipulate language to their own purposes.
These students engage independently with authentic materials and begin to analyse tone, nuance, and implication in written and spoken texts. They often show curiosity about cultural issues and may follow French-language podcasts, music, or films, write for Linguistica and attend French club. Their language is accurate, expressive, and increasingly idiomatic — indicating strong preparation for Advanced PSP.
