Advanced PSP French
Students accredited in Advanced PSP French demonstrate strong fluency and independence across all language skills. They handle abstract ideas with control and confidence — writing structured essays, analysing literary and cinematic texts, and discussing complex topics such as immigration, political extremism, protest movements, multiculturalism, and identity. They apply advanced grammar and nuanced language with increasing precision and fluency.
Students study one film and one literary text in depth (La Haine and Un Sac de Billes), engage in extended discussion, and write analytically using formal French. They undertake an Independent Research Project (IRP) on a topic of their choice. By the end of Advanced PSP, they can argue a viewpoint, evaluate perspectives, and reflect with insight — preparing them for language-rich university courses, international pathways, and culturally agile futures.
