Students accredited with Pathways PSP Spanish have developed clear communicative competence across the four language skills. They can understand and produce spoken and written Spanish in familiar and some unfamiliar contexts, across a broad range of GCSE topics including school life, relationships, free time, technology, health, environmental issues and future aspirations. They use three core time frames (past, present, future) with growing control and awareness of audience, tone, and structure.

They demonstrate secure knowledge of key grammar, including manipulation of verbs and idiomatic grammatical structures. Their written work is clear, coherent, and accurate in short paragraphs, and they contribute confidently in class conversation, role plays, and presentations. They reflect on their progress and show consistent effort, forming strong foundations for Advanced PSP.
